Young students attending weekly group classes are encouraged to commence instrumental tuition at 5 – 6 years of age. Parents will be advised when their child is ready and an appropriate instrument and teacher recommended.

Paula holds a Masters degree in piano pedagogy and a Licentiate Diploma (Piano Teaching) from the Guildhall School of Music, London.  Paula is one of the few practitioners in the world applying Dalcroze techniques to instrumental learning and performance. Her research into piano performance and the body received a highly commended award from the Musicological Society of Australia.

As a Dalcroze specialist, Paula understands the importance of learning through the visual, auditory and kinesthetic (movement) systems. She uses an innovative and creative approach to learning piano that is highly effective and lots of fun!

Students may be prepared for AMEB practical and theory exams, eisteddfods and competitions. They are introduced to a broad repertoire according to their individual development and interests. All students learn to improvise, compose, modulate and sight read.
